The girl group Busters has announced a bold new musical direction this summer, aligning with the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in the entertainment industry.
According to their agency, Marbling Co., Ltd., Busters is currently preparing a unique concept for their upcoming album, scheduled for release in July.
In a move to strengthen their global presence, Busters is planning a major transformation—shifting away from previous styles to embrace a more futuristic and original concept. By incorporating cutting-edge AI technology into their performances and musical experimentation, they aim to establish themselves as a next-generation icon of the Korean Wave (Hallyu).
Busters has maintained strong connections with international fans through a variety of global activities. These include a three-day appearance at KCON JAPAN 2023, serving as ambassadors for the 2023 KWBL Wheelchair Basketball League, and releasing the emotional webtoon OST “Shining Day.”
They also received the Global Hallyu Star Award at the 2024 Korea Best Brand Awards, performed at ENA K POP UP CHART SHOW IN JAPAN and KBEE 2024 TOKYO, and participated in the Korea-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Festival, spreading K-POP’s appeal across Asia. Most recently, they were chosen as models for Java Prima Abadi’s Luwak White Coffee, a leading Indonesian coffee brand, further solidifying their position in the Asian market.
With over 1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok videos reaching 14 million and 19 million views, Busters continues to draw widespread popularity. Their upcoming return, featuring an evolved concept and AI-enhanced stage production, is drawing significant attention and anticipation.
Meanwhile, their agency Marbling Co., Ltd. has been active in global music production, having created the soundtrack for MARVEL STUDIO’s K-POP character LUNA SNOW, and produced tracks for various J-POP acts including AKB48. They’ve also made their mark in K-POP with hits like “Who Dis?” by SECRET NUMBER and “LOVELY” by Gong Minzy.
